During 2018, the East Orlando Chamber implemented many new benefits and perks for our business members in the new year. One of the most exciting new member perks is a health benefits package. These benefits provide healthcare options for our members and their employees. Many small businesses cannot afford health insurance, so the chamber has built a program that includes a telehealth, accident and catastrophic plan providing coverage for unforeseen medical needs.These plans start at $14 per month with no additional co-pays or fees. We also launched OPTIC, Orlando’s Professional Technology & Innovation Collaborative, where we strive to connect solution seekers with problem solvers. We held two informative events this year: the Commercialization of Innovation and a Cybersecurity Briefing. We kick off four more events starting on Jan. 18, 2019 with Cybersecurity Compliance. These events are aimed toward technology sector professionals and businesses without the interruption of sales pitches from fellow attendees.
