- To begin with, make sure that you do not use your cell phone while in class. Even if you have a phone on you at the campus, keep it in airplane mode. It could be hard for you in the beginning but you can do it!
- Do not go with full deployment rather switch off the internet for a couple of hours initially in the first week. It may feel odd but you will be able to find interesting things to do around.
- You are your motivation. Being a student, you need to tell yourself every day that you have much more to do in life than stick to the cell phone screen.
Go for your favorite Sports:
- Try to take interest in sports or any activity of your interest. The activity will keep you busy, motivated and will have a positive effect on your mental and physical health.
- Try to go for a Jog. Early morning Jogging is a plus to your health. It releases all the body toxins through sweat. Yes, you can enjoy music while jogging but no social media. It will make you relaxed and focused for the complete day.
Turn-Off Triggers!
- Turn off the notifications so that they do not appear on the screen. Yes, it works, you may notice that most of the time you are checking your social media accounts for finding out about the new notifications or posts. If there is no notification, it will not urge you to check your phone.
- You can discipline yourself. Make rules for everyone at home. No cellphones during dinnertime. Make sure that everybody is following the rules even Mom Dad. Talk to your family. Have a good laugh. Talking to your family will help reduce anxiety and anger issues.

- Try to develop an interest in reading novels or books. Bing old school is classy. Books will help you improve your language that has gone wrong using social media. Books are my best friend. Social media may give vague information but with books, you will learn wisdom
- You need to plan for yourself that you will do any social welfare work. It will add peace to your mind and soul.

Social media has been a sparkling star but the overuse of social media had made the students addicted to this and it is a dangerous addiction than drugs. Different social media applications have been consuming much time of the students. The influencers on social media had been negatively influencing the students for reducing weight. The user may follow the plan but it could have multiple negative effects on the students.
Limit your Timings!
It is suggested that you should only limit using social media to timings. Making friends and hanging out is a pleasant experience. Indeed taking photos create good memories. However, you don’t need to keep on taking photos for social media and do not enjoy with friends. Do take photos but upload them once you are back home. The time you have with friends and having a good laugh will keep you young and energetic.
Self-Monitoring:
Self-monitoring is the key to success! An Excess to anything and everything is bad. Being a student the excess use of technology could end you developing social anxiety. This anxiety could affect your overall performance as a professional. Reducing the use of social media is an investment in yourself for your future.

Your health and wellness are important and above any social pressures. Be kind to yourself, you are the future, and sticking to social media would hold you back from becoming the future leader. Good health and wellness are the main drivers towards a progressive, striving, and goal-oriented individual.

Next time whenever you are in the wrong mood, feeling depressed, and do not feel the motivation of doing anything, just make sure that you are limiting your social media access.
