What you’ll need:
Roughly ten apples
One orange
1 tablespoon Cinnamon
1-2 tablespoons Ground Cloves
½ cup Sugar
Cheese Cloth
How to make:
- Cut the apples into quarters and peel the orange.
- Combine the apples, orange, 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, 1-2 tablespoons of cloves, and half a cup of sugar in a large stove pot.
- Stir the mixture over medium heat for 3 minutes.
- Add water to the pot. The pot’s contents should be covered by 2 inches of water.
- Bring the water to a boil, then reduce heat to low-medium heat.
- Cover the pot and simmer for 2 hours.
- Once the mixture has simmered for 2 hours, remove the remaining orange.
- Mash the apples in the pot.
- Cover the pot and simmer for 20 minutes.
- After simmering, remove the cider from the heat and set aside to cool.
- Once the cider is cool, use a cheesecloth to strain the cider into a pitcher.
- Strain the cider one more time before drinking.
- Serve and enjoy!
