Creative City Project, known for its spectacular and innovative immersive art experiences in Central Florida, announces its latest event, “Wavelength.” Sponsored by Massey Services, Inc., this unique fusion of live music and immersive light will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Steinmetz Hall, Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Downtown Orlando. Attendees can choose between two shows at 5:30 PM and 8 PM.

Following the success of 2022’s “The Seasons” and 2023’s “The Carnival,” “Wavelength” combines live music with a multimedia visual art exhibition. Over 200 light pillars, lasers, projectors, and custom fixtures will blend with performances by 20 professional singers, 12 orchestral musicians, and a modern six-member rock band. The concert features an in-the-round seating arrangement for an immersive experience.

The music will include original compositions and unique arrangements of classical, pop, and jazz songs. Led by music director Chris Keogh, the 20-member a cappella choir, combined with Keogh’s arrangements, will deliver a thrilling auditory experience. Composers Julian Bond and Greg Perkins will guide an orchestral ensemble and live band, while brass and percussion ensembles from Central Florida Community Arts will perform throughout the venue.

Cole NeSmith, Artistic Director of Creative City Project, shares, “This incredible creative team is collaborating to bring audiences something truly special. The 20 singers will surround the audience from the Grand Tier (first balcony), and musicians will appear throughout Steinmetz Hall. Light is the star of the show, with laser light and projections filling the space and 200 light pillars hanging throughout the venue. The visual beauty of light is as important as the world-class music in this show.”
