2024 Florida Election Results: Key Races and Re-elections 

The 2024 election held a lot of gravity in the lives of Americans across the nation, with many calling it one of the most important elections in our lifetime. Voters in Florida patiently awaited results to see what the future of the Sunshine State would look like and who would be responsible for key decisions going forward. Below is a summary of the results from key seats in Florida: 

Presidential Election

  • Donald Trump (Republican) won Florida’s 30 electoral votes with 6,103,182 votes (56.1%). 
  • Kamala Harris (Democrat), the vice presidential candidate, received 4,676,871 votes (43.0%). 

U.S. Senate

  • Rick Scott (Republican) was re-elected to the U.S. Senate, continuing his term as Florida’s representative in the Senate. 

U.S. House of Representatives

Several members of Florida’s U.S. House delegation were re-elected across the state, reflecting a mix of both Republican and Democratic victories. 

  • Matt Gaetz (Republican) secured re-election in Florida’s 1st Congressional District which includes western areas of the Panhandle.
  • Neal Dunn (Republican) was re-elected in Florida’s 2nd Congressional District, covering the Panhandle and the Big Bend area. 
  • Kat Cammack (Republican) won re-election in Florida’s 3rd Congressional District, which includes Gainesville and north-central Florida. 
  • Aaron Bean (Republican) was re-elected in Florida’s 4th Congressional District, covering parts of Jacksonville and the northeastern Florida coast. 
  • John Rutherford (Republican) was re-elected in Florida’s 5th Congressional District in the southeastern part of Jacksonville.
  • Michael Waltz (Republican) won re-election in Florida’s 6th Congressional District, which includes Daytona Beach and parts of central Florida. 
  • Cory Mills (Republican) was re-elected in Florida’s 7th Congressional District, which includes parts of Orlando and the central Florida coast. 
  • Mike Haridopolos (Republican) won the election in Florida’s 8th Congressional District, which is located in the Space Coast region. 
  • Darren Soto (Democrat) retained his seat in Florida’s 9th Congressional District, covering parts of Central Florida. 
  • Maxwell Frost (Democrat) was re-elected in Florida’s 10th Congressional District, serving as the first Gen Z member of Congress. 
  • Daniel Webster (Republican) won re-election in Florida’s 11th Congressional District, which covers parts of the Orlando area, including The Villages retirement community. 
  • Gus Bilirakis (Republican) secured re-election in Florida’s 12th Congressional District, covering the northern Tampa Bay area. 
  • Anna Paulina Luna (Republican) retained her seat in Florida’s 13th Congressional District, which covers parts of Pinellas County. 
  • Kathy Castor (Democrat) won re-election in Florida’s 14th Congressional District, centered around Tampa Bay. 
  • Laurel Lee (Republican) won re-election in Florida’s 15th Congressional District, defeating Democrat Patricia Kemp. 
  • Vern Buchanan (Republican) was re-elected in Florida’s 16th Congressional District, representing parts of Sarasota and Manatee counties. 
  • W. Gregory Steube (Republican) won the election in Florida’s 17th Congressional District, located along the Gulf Coast. 
  • Scott Franklin (Republican) won re-election in Florida’s 18th Congressional District, covering parts of the Space Coast. 
  • Byron Donalds (Republican) was re-elected in Florida’s 19th Congressional District, representing the Naples and Fort Myers area. 
  • Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (Democrat) retained her seat in Florida’s 20th Congressional District covering parts of Broward and Palm Beach County.
  • Brian Mast (Republican) won re-election in Florida’s 21st Congressional District, covering the Treasure Coast region. 
  • Lois Frankel (Democrat) was re-elected in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, covering Palm Beach County. 
  • Jared Moskowitz (Democrat) secured re-election in Florida’s 23rd Congressional District. 
  • Frederica Wilson (Democrat) was re-elected in Florida’s 24th Congressional District, representing parts of Miami-Dade County. 
  • Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Democrat) was re-elected in Florida’s 25th Congressional District, which includes parts of Broward County. 
  • Mario Diaz-Balart (Republican) secured re-election in Florida’s 26th Congressional District, representing the southwestern part of the state. 
  • Maria Elvira Salazar (Republican) won re-election in Florida’s 27th Congressional District, covering parts of Miami-Dade. 
  • Carlos Gimenez (Republican) secured a seat in Florida’s 28th Congressional District, created during the 2020 redistricting cycle. 

Republicans maintained a strong presence in Florida’s congressional delegation, with key figures like Rick Scott, Brian Mast, Laurel Lee, and Mario Diaz-Balart securing re-election, among others.
