Working on Your Fitness

Toni Lemieux, founder and director of The Body Club in MetroWest, says she receives two reactions from clients once they see what her fitness studio is all about. The first response is usually, “Oh my gosh, you’re way bigger than I thought you would be,” followed by, “You have everything.”

For Central Floridians looking to join a gym that has everything they need under one roof, The Body Club, which has been open for just over a year, has just what they’re after. “We’re not just a small fitness studio,” Lemieux says. “We’re a 23,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility. Everything we have is brand new and is equipped with the most up-to-date technology. There’s nothing like it in the Orlando market.”

All-in-One Fitness Studio
Whether you’re a fit person looking for fun workout options, an overweight person in need of guidance to reach your goals, a family in need of a good workout, or a golfer looking to perfect your swing, The Body Club has you covered. With so much inside the doors of the studio, anyone who is looking to develop a healthy lifestyle will find what they desire.

Members can work out alone on brand new equipment equipped with Internet access to track their progress, or they can choose a group fitness class ranging from yoga and Pilates to Zumba and Les Mills programs. They can even work one on one with a personal trainer or participate in small team training for a higher level of accountability in their workout. “We have everything someone could need when embracing or continuing a fit lifestyle, from a gym to group fitness classes to a mentor and coach for guidance to nutrition. Not to mention fun, up-and-coming fitness trends,” says Lemieux.

One of the mentors you’ll find at The Body Club is Lemieux herself. Coming from a fitness family (her father is a four time world champion power lifter), Lemieux was an instructor at other gyms for more than 12 years. Now in her own studio, she teaches Les Mills programs including BODYPUMP, BODYSTEP and CSWROX, as well as freestyle workouts like kickboxing and boot camp. Her fellow trainers are experts in the fitness field, offering the best guidance in the newest, most effective exercise programs and maximizing results for their clients.

Hassle-Free Membership
Typical gym memberships can be riddled with frustrations starting with a confusing long-term contract. Lemieux and her staff at The Body Club know that their members lead hectic lives and have full schedules. Since they can’t control the stress in their members’ everyday lives, they have made it a goal to make maintaining a membership at their fitness studio easy and stress free.

While members can pay ahead for a yearlong membership, The Body Club also offers month-to-month memberships, family options and the ability to freeze a membership for medical or travel purposes for three consecutive months at a time. These options give members the freedom to explore the amenities of the studio without committing long term. “These days people are transient. They don’t want to be tied to a contract,” Lemieux explains.

Three levels of membership cater to the lifestyle of the member. Premiere membership includes two spa treatments applied by an expert massage therapist along with access to all group fitness classes, a gym with state-of-the-art equipment, and the fitness technician. Executive and V.I.P memberships include the all-gym access listed in the premiere membership package and access to the eucalyptus steam room, dry sauna and whirlpool in the Serenity Now Spa. In an effort to make working out easy for busy parents, The Body Club offers childcare during regular childcare hours in all membership packages.

Not Just a Gym
The Body Club is home to an impressive display of group fitness classes, cardio workout equipment and dedicated trainers, but it is so much more than just a gym. An on-site sidewalk café that overlooks Veranda Park provides the fuel you need to get through a tough workout. With a menu of fresh fruit smoothies, breakfast options and healthy sandwiches (including special Hi Protein offerings), you’ll be able to get pumped before your workout or recharge when you’re done. Inside you’ll also find The Body Shop to pick up fitness apparel, activewear and any extras you might need during your workout.

While you’re working on your fitness, your children can explore at Busy Body’s Kid Club, a unique educational and active space for children of all ages. During peak hours, the club offers special educational programs like an introduction to technology through the Gigglebytes program, or Lil Amigos, where children can learn vocabulary, listen to Spanish spoken by fluent speakers, and develop an understanding of other cultures.

For Lemieux and her team, The Body Club is just like family. “This isn’t just a business,” she says. “We are friends that know you, instructors that know you.”

To make the most of the time you set aside for fitness, become a member at The Body Club, a fitness studio that can take care of all fitness your needs under one roof.
