The West Orange Chamber Builds Relationships

Oftentimes, when businessmen and women think of networking they think of talking with total strangers (who are also feeling anxious) and then slowly watch the clock tick by until they can gracefully (and unbeknownst to the host) make a hasty retreat. However, the businesses and entrepreneurs that thrive know that networking is the key to building relationships and accessing new business. They make the time to incorporate networking into a marketing plan and use it as a valuable resource, not just something to check off a list to simply report back, “I handed out business cards.” They take the time to learn how to network well, nurture relationships and teach it to their employees as well.
This is where the West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) truly shines. We understand the needs of businesses and facilitate the opportunities for networking. We also provide instruction, as evidenced in our recent Lunch and Learn, “Your Elevator Speech – How to Get Off the Ground Floor!” It shouldn’t be taken for granted that just because you have a good product or service that it is inherent that you or your employees know how to communicate with different people and in different settings. It takes a good product or service, communication skills and the right opportunities.
An upcoming WOCC opportunity that will allow you to grow business relationships is our annual Golf Classic. This year’s best ball tournament will be held on October 30 at Windermere Country Club. The event’s sponsors –CenturyLink, Health Central Hospital, Orlando Health and Lake Apopka Natural Gas District – have partnered to create a great afternoon of business relationships, all while having fun. Visit wochamber.com to secure your spot in the tournament and start building relationships for your business.
