WOCC Hosting Straw Poll

As in any election year, the political races are taking center stage, both locally and nationally. The West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) continues to advocate for pro-business issues that will contribute to a healthy, thriving business climate. To help accomplish this, the WOCC works closely with the West Orange Political Alliance (W.O.P.A.), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that supports candidates and issues that positively affect growth and economic development in West Orange County.

This year, W.O.P.A. is a premier sponsor of our Hob Nob & Straw Poll. At this bipartisan event, which is hosted by premier sponsor Manheim Orlando, W.O.P.A. will highlight its endorsements for the 2016 election. Business leaders and residents will also have the opportunity to meet candidates, learn about key issues and vote in the straw poll. The results of this straw poll are a key indicator for the outcome of the August primary, as it is the final political event prior to the election. As a friendly reminder, August 1 is the last day to register to vote in the August 30 primary election.

Orlando Health is the presenting sponsor of this year’s Hob Nob in conjunction with premier sponsor UCF and participating sponsors Alarie Design Associates, Observer Media Group and Walt Disney World Resort. For more information or to purchase your ticket, visit wochamber.com or call 407-656-1304.
