Honoring the 15th Anniversary of 9/11

The Central Florida community will come together in a variety of ways to honor the 15th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, the victims and the first responders.

Mayor Gary Bruhn, other elected officials, Boy Scouts from local troops and families who lost loved ones on 9/11 will come together with the community to honor the 15th anniversary. There will be musical performances by members of the First Baptist Church of Windermere.


Special offers for first responders:

The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium and Madame Tussauds Orlando is offering free admission for first responders through Sept. 30. Up to four additional guests will receive a 25% discount for all three attractions. This offer is valid for police officers, firefighters and EMS employees working in the United States as well as active, former and retired personnel with identification. Eligible personnel should present their employee ID or professional organization membership card to the admissions desk at The Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, Madame Tussauds Orlando or SEA Life Orlando Aquarium the day they plan to visit to redeem the discount on their admission ticket.

Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens is offering free admission to first responders Sept. 9 to Sept. 11. This offer is valid for police and sheriff officers, firefighters, EMTs, state troopers, 9-1-1 dispatchers and other professionals involved in law enforcement, investigations and emergency response. To be eligible, first responders must present a professional credential and a valid, government-issued photo ID at the zoo’s ticket window.
