As the chamber looks back on the past few months, we have noticed a definite growth trend across West Orange County. The Windermere, Dr. Phillips and MetroWest areas have seen a surge of new business growth and expansion over the past few months. During the last three months of 2013 alone, the West Orange Chamber added dozens of new southwest businesses to our membership family. New member businesses such as Nurses Next Door of West Orlando, Hair in Motion of New York, Café Murano, Americare Medical Equipment, AAA Bay Hill, Eddie V’s, Live Well Medical Center, Garage Experts, Stefano’s Grill, P & H Chem-dry, InCharge Debt Solutions, Graciously Sweet Bella Vita MediSpa, The Body Club, Candy Design Studios, Publix – Dr. Phillips Marketplace and Eton Bridge, are just a few examples.
In addition to those areas, there are also the multi-million dollar expansions of Universal Orlando’s CityWalk & Downtown Disney (soon to be Disney Springs), a new Florida Hospital medical facility underway in Winter Garden, the lowest Orange County unemployment rate in five years, and the booming housing market in Horizon West. With this, you have the markings of a very strong economic environment. We have also witnessed a robust increase in small business expansion, with many chamber members opening additional locations to accommodate the demands of an increasingly confident consumer. These examples of growth and expansion in our area further justify the economic strength of West Orange County and the value of being a West Orange Chamber of Commerce member.
