Meet Dr. Steppie of Associates In Dermatology

Associates in Dermatology has served the medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology and skin care needs of Central Floridians for over 25 years in 15 convenient locations.

Its president and medical director, Dr. Michael Steppie, is a member of the prestigious Skin Cancer Foundation’s Amonette Circle and is a board-certified physician who has completed residencies in internal medicine, dermatology and dermatologic surgery. He is also a Mohs micrographic skin cancer surgeon.

Research & Collaboration

Dr. Steppie goes beyond clinical practice to pursue dermatologic research. One of his lines of research, in collaboration with Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute at Lake Nona, involved identifying biomarkers that may predict susceptibility to melanoma. It was published in April 2017.

Associates in Dermatology accepts most health plans, and the professional staff of skilled and dedicated physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, paramedical clinical estheticians and support team members take great pride in exceeding patient expectations.

In addition to excisions of skin cancers, moles and skin lesions, Associates in Dermatology treats a number of skin conditions such as psoriasis, acne, eczema, allergic dermatitis, warts and also diseases of the hair and nails.
