On March 12, the Arnold Palmer Invitational kicked off at Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge with special events that included the Champions for Arnold’s Kids Pro-Am and a free junior clinic with a PGA TOUR pro. Tomorrow, the opening ceremony for the annual tournament, which runs through March 18, will take place at 11 a.m. with PGA TOUR players at the club’s driving range.
For the third year, the PGA TOUR Superstore is the will call location for the Arnold Palmer Invitational. During tournament week, you can pick up your tickets at the store, which is located at 7603 Turkey Lake Road, Orlando, FL 32819 (just north of Sand Lake Road), from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
At the PGA TOUR Superstore, golfers of all skill levels can purchase golf clubs, golf accessories, shoes and apparel from the best names in the business. However, it’s more than just a store. Beginners and professionals alike can benefit from the following services.
Golf Lessons: There are a variety of options when it comes to improving your golf game, including private lessons, group lessons for women or kids, and free in-store events. Instructors use launch monitor and video technologies to provide easy-to-understand feedback, and they will also review your equipment to make sure it’s right for you.
Performance Practice Center: The PGA TOUR Superstore’s practice bays include ball flight launch monitor technology as well as video swing capture and playback abilities that give you concrete feedback to help you practice more efficiently.
Club Fitting: A PGA TOUR Superstore certified club fitter will use launch monitor technology to analyze ball-flight characteristics, or fitting tools from all of the major golf manufacturers, to get your shot pattern dialed in. This service is free of charge.
Club Repair: Certified club repair technicians utilize the latest in club repair technology to update grips and shafts, perform loft and lie angle adjustments, repair loose heads, repair head rattle and adjust weight.
Junior Golf Programs: The six-hour instruction program is split into two levels based on skill. All participants receive a glove, cap, bag tag, sleeve of U.S. Kids golf balls and a coupon for the purchase of U.S. Kids Golf clubs. Each level has checkpoints on five key areas: putting, full swing, around the green, knowledge (etiquette/sportsmanship) and scoring. On the third Saturday of each month, the store hosts the Kids Zone, a fun-first clinic with games to grow interest in the game.
