Dr. Stephen Seidler, who previously practiced in Orange City for 30 years, opened Sanford Dental Excellence in 2011 to provide a comfortable, soothing dental experience for patients in the Sanford area. Now that he has established his reputation in Sanford, Dr. Seidler is introducing a new, full-time provider to the practice, and he’s keeping it in the family.
Meet Dr. Mitrogogos
This new addition may be a familiar face to some Sanford Dental Excellence regulars. Dr. George Mitrogogos, who is Dr. Seidler’s son-in-law, has spent the past two years in transition, dividing his time between his role as a general dentist for the U.S. Army and working alongside Dr. Seidler.
In 2012, Dr. Mitrogogos earned his doctorate in dental medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He attended the school on a scholarship from the U.S. Army and received multiple awards for displaying clinical excellence in prosthodontics. Upon graduation, he began practicing general dentistry for the U.S. Army with a special emphasis in cosmetic dentistry at Fort Benning, Georgia.
During his first year, Dr. Mitrogogos completed a 12-month advanced education program in general dentistry where he became proficient in cosmetics, CAD/CAM technology, implants, endodontics, prosthodontics and periodontics. In addition, Dr. Mitrogogos has completed a 100-hour externship in conscious sedation at the University of Alabama and has received his fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry.
