As we enter the latter stage of the West Orange Chamber’s milestone 45th year, we’re shifting our focus from celebrating our accomplishments over the years to building another 45 prosperous years and beyond. As the West Orange region continues to grow, it is crucial that we create an environment that is a highly sought after place to live, work and play. With that in mind, we’re excited to announce the formation of the West Orange Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization that serves as the community-based, philanthropic arm of the chamber.
The foundation’s vision is to create a broader community reach, to streamline the chamber’s philanthropy and community outreach programs, to engage more industries and businesses, to create and embolden alliances and to foster positive change, health and growth. It will support many WOCC philanthropic initiatives, including youth and adult leadership programs, scholarships for area students, community-need projects, educational chamber events and the Committee of 101 (C101) grant program.
The organization is funded by the chamber, its members and through community support. We look forward to sharing more information with you about this exciting venture in the coming weeks.
