The mission of Florida Hospital is “To Extend the Healing Ministry of Jesus Christ”. One of the ways we do this is by serving our community. One of the most popular drives is the Backpacks for Kids Campaign which involves collecting employee donations of book bags filled with school supplies for children in grades Kindergarten through Fifth grade.
The annual Backpack for Kids Campaign began about 20 years ago. Each campus designates their backpacks to local schools in need. The campaign this year runs July 23 – August 7. The Backpack for Kids program is designed to help underprivileged children who are not able to buy a new backpack and school supplies for their first day of school. Last year, FH employees donated more than 2,600 backpacks to the community.
Since launching in 2001, Florida Hospital’s Backpacks for Kids program has provided school supplies and backpacks to thousands of local children.
Collection Day at FH Orlando will be on Tuesday, August 7th between 8am – 3pm at the hospital’s CREATION Conference Rooms A&B in the Ginsburg Tower. The conference rooms are below the escalators that come from the Alden parking garage.
Thank you for the support.
