Only the Best for Your Child

Finding a childcare provider that you trust is an important task. You want your child to thrive in a warm environment where they feel cared for and loved while you’re away, and you also want them to begin developing the building blocks of their education.

As Avalon Park’s premier childcare provider, Ladybird Academy does just that, combining preschool early learning and education with quality care for children ages six weeks through 12 years. Infants and toddlers are introduced to letters, numbers, shapes and colors in preparation for the Abeka curriculum that begins at age 3. This curriculum focuses on academic, cognitive, intellectual, social and language development, allowing educators to build a solid foundation for success in each student’s academic journey.

“Most parents choose our school because they want their children to learn at an early age,” Quality Assurance Manager Linzi Hansla says. “They want to know that once their child enters Kindergarten, they will already have the foundation for their education and will be prepared for the next stage.”

The state-of-the-art facility includes an enrichment room with iPads, iMacs and smart tables. However, this space is about more than just sitting down to play a game. Three times a week, students ages 3 and up learn about the components of a computer — mouse control, how to navigate the keys on a keyboard and what each part means — putting them one step ahead when they reach the elementary school level. Other lessons focus on what they’re learning in the classroom.

“The children’s education is paramount to us,” Hansla says.

Every lead teacher at Ladybird Academy holds a child development associate, and all staff members have participated in a minimum of 45 training hours that are mandated by the state of Florida. In addition, Ladybird Academy holds the Gold Seal Award from the Department of Children and Families and is accredited by nationally recognized agencies with similar standards for care and supervision.

“We feel comforted by the fact that someone truly cares for our daughters and respects their individuality,” says Ladybird Academy parents, Matt and Jennifer Robson. “Our children are learning in leaps and bounds and are well-adjusted and well-socialized.”

Ladybird Academy is poised for a big year in 2018, with new schools scheduled to open in Jacksonville, Tampa and Orlando. The school is open year-round from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
