Eli Young Band will perform at the AutoNation Cure Bowl!
The AutoNation Cure Bowl announced that the Eli Young Band will perform at the pre-game tailgate concert on Dec. 17, 2016 at Tinker Field.
“Please join us in welcoming The Eli Young Band to our Cure Bowl team,” stated Executive Director Alan Gooch. “Unique experiences such as these collectively bring teams together to find a Cure for Cancer. A special thanks to AutoNation for making this happen.”
The AutoNation Cure Bowl is a college bowl game that was launched last year. Presented by Florida Hospital and organized by the Orlando Sports Foundation, the game features teams from the American Athletic Conference and the Sun Belt Conference. More than just a game, the Cure Bowl celebrates women who are living with breast cancer and women who may face it in the future.
The Cure Bowl’s inaugural match between San Jose State and Georgia State on Dec. 19, 2015 raised a record breaking $1.15 million for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. This is the highest amount given in the history of college football bowls from a single bowl to its cancer research foundation charity partner. This year’s game will be held on Dec. 17 at Orlando’s Camping World Stadium. For those unable to attend, it will be televised nationwide on CBS Sports Network at 5:30 p.m. EST.
The Eli Young Band joins the Cure Bowl’s efforts to find a cure for cancer by kicking off game-day festivities with a show from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The group’s last album, titled “10,000 Towns,” ranked #1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart and earned a Top 5 spot on the Billboard 200. Some of their hits include “Drunk Last Night,” “Even If it Breaks Your Heart,” and “Crazy Girl.”
