The temperatures are rising again, but that does not mean you have to stay inside with the A.C. blasted. If you want to ice things up, here are some cool activities to keep you from melting away into your couch.
Disney on Ice
Too hot to go to the parks? Enjoy a show at Disney on Ice and experience Frozen live with all the chilling effects! Unlike Elsa, the cold may bother you, but the audience sing-alongs, aerial acrobats and world-class ice skating will keep you in the heat of the moment.
Along with Anna, Elsa, and the rest of the Frozen gang, you will get to meet the Madrigals and experience Encanto on ice for the first time! Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald, Goofy, and friends will also be present!
Disney on Ice is coming to the Amway Center at select show times from May 12 to May 14. Tickets are now available for sale to the public.
Frozen Nitrogen Ice Cream
What do you get when you mix dessert and a science experiment? Frozen Nitrogen Ice Cream is an ice cream parlor with locations across Central Florida. Customers can get their own custom freshly made ice cream by picking a base, flavor and mix-in toppings! The shop lives up to its name by not only allowing you to watch the liquid nitrogen clouds behind the counter but mixing in the ice cream with a little bit of it, and offering ‘dragon breath’, which are cereal balls swirled around in liquid nitrogen to allow you to breathe out smoky cold clouds!
ICEBAR Orlando
Bundle up! ICEBAR Orlando at International Drive is so cold that guests are provided with coats and gloves! Surrounded by ice sculptures, the bar makes it feel like you are drinking in an igloo; some drinks are even served in carved ice glasses!
Just a little too cold for you? There is also a fire lounge to heat you up, with drinks and a menu to match the ambiance. The food at ICEBAR is served hot.
Snowcat Ridge
Want to experience a winter vacation in Florida? Snowcat Ridge is the only alpine snow theme park in Florida! About an hour and a half from Central Florida, this park is worth the drive! One of the amenities includes Snowy Slopes, a 60-foot-tall, 400 ft long snow tubing hill! Not feeling too daring? Choose to explore Arctic Igloo, which features a snow play area, a bunny slope and a snowball target area! Guests can also ice skate, shop around at the Alpine Village and even host a party in private igloos! You will experience winter in Florida here!
With these cold spots, you will be sure not to succumb to the Florida heat. So, whether you go ice skating or eat ice cream, there are many ways to stay cool and have fun.
