Presenting music by Rev. Shawn Garvey.

An accomplished singer and guitar player, Rev. Garvey has released three albums of original material, worked with Paul Summerlin (Seal), performed with Rick Elias (Rich Mullins and A Ragamuffin Band) and Mary Fahl (October Project). He brought friend Livingston Taylor to Winter Park in 2015 for two events, including a sanctuary concert at First Congregational Church of Winter Park where he opened for Liv and joined him in the duet “City Lights” that the two first sang together six years before. An avid John Denver fan, he brought his dearly-departed friend Steve Weisberg, Denver’s lead guitarist from 1973 – 1977 to FCCWP for the last of the John Denver tribute shows he and Steve had been performing annually for many years.

Rev. Garvey holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Long Island University, and a Master of Divinity Degree from Andover Newton Theological School. He has served as Senior Minister to First Congregational Church of Winter Park since the fall of 2013.
