PASSION & PRIDE
- Benjamin Mack-Jackson – FusionFest Filmmaker. Benjamin is a documentary filmmaker who has been following the greatest generation for many years. He is also active in helping Ukraine in its fight for freedom, providing aid and documenting what’s going on for future generations. Ben also discovered the challenges Gabriella Rodriguez has faced as she strives to be proud of who she is and help others do the same.
- Gabriella Rodriguez – FusionFest Superstar. Gabriella started out life being adopted by a family from Puerto Rico, which happened to be her biological heritage. Along the way, Gabby became active in the LGBTQ+ community, helping others grow and adapt as they embrace their LGBTQ+ heritage and help them find their way.
PALESTINE AT HOME
- Austin Sanchez – FusionFest Filmmaker. Austin was born and raised in Orlando with Puerto Rican roots and has been a filmmaker for over a decade. He founded Tributestream, a company that live-streams memorials and celebrations of life, connecting people during times of loss. Working full-time as a trial technician, Austin combines his love for games and thrillers into his films, creating stories that captivate and resonate. His latest short film, “Palestine at Home,” showcases his unique storytelling ability, offering an intimate look into family and cultural identity.
- Yasmeen Zayed – FusionFest Superstar. Yasmeen invites audiences into a deeply personal journey, blending childhood videos with the vibrant threads of her family’s history. As she navigates through cherished memories, Yasmeen opens her heart and home, offering an intimate glimpse into her rich cultural heritage. Through the sharing of traditional meals and interacting with the local Arab community, Yasmeen bridges the past and present, celebrating identity, heritage, and the enduring spirit of Palestine.
