Myrna Ossin, a teacher, author and motivational speaker who specializes in nutrition, health, personal finance and travel, will discuss how to help treat common ailments like diabetes, high cholesterol, athlete’s foot and arthritis using using simple household items like those found in your kitchen cabinets. The program will be presented at Newcomers of Central Florida’s January 21 luncheon at the Holiday Inn Orlando East-UCF Area, formerly the Radisson-UCF, at 1724 N. Alafaya Trail, Orlando, FL 32826.

Ms. Ossin, who resides in Maitland, has a degree in Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin, and has helped hundreds of people lead healthier lives. Her latest book, Lists for Living, Lists for Life, is an encyclopedia of life skills which will be available soon. She has also written a cookbook, Favorite Recipes from Central Florida, which is priced at $10 and will be available for sale at the luncheon. She is back for a return engagement at the Newcomers club after presenting “Packing Tips for your Trips,” a February 2015 program that offered suggestions for traveling for two weeks or more with just carry-on luggage.
