What’s better in the summertime than sipping on a cold, refreshing cocktail while sitting in the sunshine? Try these tasty twists on classic cocktails.

Watermelon Moscow Mule

Ingredients:

-4 ounces vodka
-2 ounces ginger beer
-2 ounces watermelon simple syrup
-1 ounce lime juice
-2 small watermelon wedges
-2 large mint sprigs

Directions:
Combine the vodka, simple syrup and lime juice in a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour vodka mixture into two ice-filled mule mugs. Top each glass with 1 oz. of ginger beer. Garnish with watermelon wedges and mint sprigs and enjoy your cocktails.

Cab-arita

Ingredients:

-1.5 oz. tequila
-.5 oz. Triple Sec or Cointreau
-2 oz. lemon-lime mixer of choice
-Splash of cabernet for floater
-Salt (optional)
-Lime (optional)

Directions:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Combine tequila, Triple Sec or Cointreau, and margarita mix and shake until chilled. Place salt on a plate and press a cocktail glass into the salt to rim the edges. Pour mixture into the glass. For the cabernet floater, flip a spoon upside down and hold it over the glass. Pour the wine slowly over the spoon to layer it on top. Garnish with lime and serve your cocktails.
