Now in its 10th year, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic has become a staple foodie event here in Central Florida. What started as an event that covered a 15,000-square-foot portion of the causeway with 26 beverage options in 2010 has grown to now surround 75,000 feet of the resort’s private lake with more than 170 beverage options and four times the amount of food booths than its inaugural year.
This year’s event will be held on Nov. 8 and 9.
What to Expect at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic
The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Food & Wine Classic provides a street party feel with a selection of food and beverage sampling stations lining the causeway between the Swan and Dolphin properties. Guests can enjoy unlimited food tastings, including menu items from the hotel’s award-winning restaurants such as Shula’s Steak House and Todd English’s bluezoo, as well as wine selections from around the world.
In addition to fan-favorite themed areas, The Pig and The Poke, Chinatown, Carnival Corner, The Bubble Lounge and The Beer Garden, a new surf-themed area is joining the party this year. Located on the property’s sandy beach area, Hang 10 will feature a live band, decorations and brand-new dishes: Fry Basket with clams, shrimp and oysters as well as Hearts of Palm Ceviche. These items can be paired with spritzes and hard seltzers.
Prior to the causeway tasting portion of the event, educational seminars will be held inside the hotel. Guests can choose from Wine Blending, Craft Cocktails, Fine Art of Sushi and Sake, Pasta Making and more.
