Christner’s: Decades of Legendary Dining

From the early days in the 1990s, along a quiet Lee Road, a family-owned steakhouse legacy was emerging in Orlando. The modest, single building was previously known by a variety of names including Bakerstreet Grill, Tony Marino’s and Morgan’s Lobster House. Fast forward to 2000, the Christner family expanded the restaurant with a second neighboring building, formerly Straub’s and Nick’s Boat Yard, with the signature central lobby and porte-cochère.

The heart and soul of Christner’s began with Carole Christner and her late husband, Russ. Many of the founding principles and traditions stand today. Although, the official name of Christner’s Prime Steak & Lobster debuted in 2013, the iconic restaurant has been owned and operated by the Christner family since 1993. From USDA Prime steaks, cold-water lobster tails and classic steakhouse menu features to the rich leather seating and low lighting, the quality and authentic hospitality at Christner’s is always in vogue.

To celebrate the silver anniversary as a family-owned, award-winning restaurant, the Christner family is generously opening their doors for a special celebration dinner on June 14. One hundred percent of the dining proceeds (excluding alcohol sales) will be donated to Aspire Health Partners.

“We are truly honored and humbled by numerous awards and accolades over the years and cherish them as much as the friendships and memories we have created,” owner Alice Christner says.

Designed to reflect the Christner family’s rich history of exceptional quality and meticulous service, the award-winning menu features only the finest USDA Prime steaks, fresh seafood and outstanding wine and spirits. From salad dressings to signature desserts, each ingredient is carefully selected – with a serious focus on beef. Every USDA Prime serving is corn-fed, aged in house and cut fresh-to-order. Attention to detail doesn’t end there. Cold water lobster tails are imported and seafood is hand-selected from the finest local markets.

Christner’s boasts a wine portfolio of over 4,500 bottles, in addition to imported and locally-crafted whiskies, spirits and beer. Additionally, you can rent a wine locker to store your own wine, make a special request to one of restaurant’s wine vendors or have the in-house sommelier help you choose the perfect bottle.
