Lyndsay Fogarty
Shweta V. Patel, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with Orlando Health Physician Associates in Winter Garden. She provides preventive women’s healthcare and treatment for gynecological disorders, including bio-identical hormone replacement therapy for the management of menopause symptoms.
A fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Dr. Patel attended the University of Buffalo School of Medicine in New York where she earned her medical degree, as well as a bachelor of arts degree in biomedical sciences, graduating summa cum laude. She joined the U.S. Navy Medical Corps as an officer and completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology with the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences. She served as a U.S. Navy Medical Corps Lieutenant Commander and staff physician at Camp Lejeune Navy Hospital in Jacksonville, North Carolina and at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Patel has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented on women’s healthcare topics nationally. She strives to relate to each of her patients with sensitivity, and to educate and empower her patients to make the best decisions regarding their healthcare.
