A lifelong Central Florida resident, Matt Betsinger didn’t always dream of working in the tanning business. But once he realized his passion for the health and beauty industry, he knew the next step was to open a South Beach Tanning franchise in his hometown. He knew the Winter Garden Village, an upscale, outdoor marketplace in the Winter Garden/Windermere area, was the perfect fit for this endeavor.
“It was something I discovered five or six years ago when my girlfriend would take me tanning,” Betsinger says. “I decided to branch out from the timeshare industry and a successful sales career to open a franchise in the West Orange community where I grew up.”
Located on the street side of the shopping plaza, between AT&T and Verizon Wireless and directly across the street from the new Florida Hospital Winter Garden, the South Beach Tanning location in the Winter Garden Village has been open for almost a year. The salon offers UV tanning as well as spray tanning – options that appeal to a variety of customers.
When it comes to tanning beds, South Beach Tanning has all shapes and sizes within its walls with models ranging from level one to level five. There are beds with UVA rays for bronzing, others with UVB rays to mimic the sun’s rays, and even beds with a mixture of both to offer the perfect glow.
For those who prefer spray tanning, the salon’s Versa Pro machine offers the latest spray tan technology to provide beautifully bronzed skin. Simple and easy to use, the Versa Pro allows customers to tan in the comfort of their very own private room. The whole process only takes three to five minutes to complete, and the results last for seven to 10 days.
Betsinger is a member of the West Orange Chamber of Commerce (WOCC) and enjoys giving back to his community through his business. A strategic partner with the City of Winter Garden Police Department, Betsinger and his team actively participate in community events with the WOCC and WGPD including a variety of races. He also supports the Children’s Miracle Network and events the organization produces such as the Torch Relay.
