When construction began on Baldwin Park ER, a department of Oviedo Medical Center, in June 2018, the idea was to create a freestanding emergency department to provide around-the-clock, comprehensive care for adult and pediatric patients. Almost a year later, the facility is celebrating its opening this month.

Located at the southeast corner of Hanging Moss Road and N. Semoran Boulevard, Baldwin Park ER, a department of Oviedo Medical Center, is a 10,358-square-foot, one-story facility that was designed to provide high-quality, convenient emergency healthcare services to the growing number of residents in Baldwin Park and surrounding communities in northeast Orange County. It will operate as a full-service emergency room, providing 24/7 emergency care as well as diagnostic imaging services, and is expected to serve more than 10,000 residents in Baldwin Park and the surrounding areas each year.

The Baldwin Park ER nurses hold all of the same advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support certifications, including ACLS and PALS, as the nurses at the main emergency department at Oviedo Medical Center. The facility is ideal for patients who have acute emergency health issues that are too severe to wait for a regular doctor’s office hours.
