In the wake of devastating fires in Los Angeles’ Pacific Palisades, communities across the nation are rallying to support victims in need. Among these efforts, Orlando-based artisans Freehand Goods and Impress Ink have teamed up to launch a limited-edition T-shirt fundraiser: “from: Coast-to-Coast,” channeling creativity into disaster relief.
Coast-to-Coast Collaboration
The T-shirt, designed by Tampa artist Veronica Steiner, symbolizes nationwide solidarity with a design that features a bear and a gator surrounded by floral motifs. Available in three colors—blue, off-white, and dark green—this stylish shirt captures the spirit of unity between California and Florida.
These exclusive shirts, priced between $25 and $28, are available online or in person at Freehand Goods’ College Park location. However, quantities are limited, so fans are encouraged to act quickly. Both Freehand Goods and Impress Ink are keeping their social media followers updated on inventory availability.
Supporting Relief Efforts
Proceeds from the shirt sales will be donated to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) California Wildfire Fund. This fund focuses on providing shelter, food access, affordable housing programs, and support for rebuilding efforts for those impacted by wildfires. So far, the Orlando merchants have raised over $2,000, demonstrating the power of community-driven initiatives.
Mike Cho, the entrepreneur behind Impress Ink, is leading production efforts, with the first batch of shirts set to roll out this Wednesday. Local food blog Tasty Chomps, co-founded by Ricky Ly, has also joined the campaign, amplifying its reach within the Orlando community.
“As Floridians, we understand the impact of disasters all too well,” Ly said. “We’ve been on the receiving end of generosity in the past, and it’s crucial we give back, especially now when California is in need.”
How to Get Involved
Supporters can purchase these limited-edition T-shirts online or visit Freehand Goods in College Park to buy them in person. Every purchase contributes to the CDP’s efforts to provide relief and rebuild the lives of those affected.
