Finishing Strong!

This October, we will host our yearly Education Update Luncheon with Dr. Ann McGee from Seminole State College, Dr. Dan Holsenbeck from UCF, and Dr. Walt Griffin from Seminole County Public Schools. The event is sure to be great with lunch catered by Dominic’s Restaurant. Luncheons will continue to be jam packed as we end the year with our 5th Annual Chamber Gives Back Non-profit Appreciation Luncheon in November, and our Business Awards and Chamber Expo Luncheon in December. We invite all non-profits in the Central Florida area to come out and set up a free promotional table in November. Last year, we had over 50 non-profits represented. This year will most likely top that as we welcome John Rivers, chef and owner of 4 Rivers Smokehouse as both our speaker and caterer. Please contact Melissa Lee if your non-profit would like to have a space at this event.
The hard work of our senior director of sponsorships and events, and her Winter Springs Festival of the Arts committee, will be revealed on Saturday, October 18, as they present ARToberFEST! The Winter Springs Festival of the Arts has added a German Oktoberfest twist to create an atmosphere designed to draw in art lovers, festival fans and the entire community. ARToberFEST, presented by Bright House Networks, will be held October 18–19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the Winter Springs Town Center along picturesque Blumberg Boulevard. Produced by the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce together with the City of Winter Springs, organizers are looking to continue the success of the Winter Springs Festival of the Arts. So if you love fabulous art and great German food tossed in with a beer garden and a variety of great musical performances, you won’t want to miss this event! Interested in purchasing art? Why not become a patron and enjoy purchasing art and added patron benefits! With two options available, there is sure to be one that fits your needs. Please visit www.wsfota.com for more information on the event and the various patron packages beginning at just $30.
