Get Behind the Wheel

For new drivers, a lot of studying and test taking has to take place before they can get behind the wheel. Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is offering the opportunity to take the Florida Learner’s License (permit) exam for free when students successfully complete the school’s Driver Education/Traffic Safety Course.
The FLVS Driver Education/Traffic Safety course helps students develop safe driving skills, provides them with the required Traffic Law & Substance Abuse Education waiver, and prepares them for the Learner’s License exam.
When students successfully complete the course, the school will send them a link to the free Learner’s License exam, which saves them almost $25. When they pass the exam, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (DHSMV) will automatically be notified and the student can then visit the DHSMV office to complete the licensing process.
Students who complete the Driver Education/Traffic Safety course will also fulfill their learning requirement per Florida’s Digital Learning Act.
