Exciting news. Tavistock Development Company recently announced plans for Lake Nona West, a massive new lifestyle shopping center. The new addition cements Lake Nona’s reputation as a hub for innovation and growth.
Over the years, Lake Nona has become one of Orlando’s fastest-growing neighborhoods with a surge in housing, office, research, clinical, and hospitality real estate. Let’s not forget about the hosts of new shops, restaurants, and personal service retailers growing in the area.
Located near Boggy Creek Road, Lake Nona West is planned on a 54-acre parcel of land just minutes from the community’s urban core, the new Brightline Station, and the Orlando International Airport. The development will feature over 405,000 square feet of open-air shops, ground-floor parking, elevated architecture, outdoor entertainment spaces, and vibrant public art. Site plans were submitted to the City of Orlando on July 26.
“We are in advanced conversations with several sought-after national and local brands, along with best-in-class shops, restaurants, specialty grocers, and personal service operators that will continue to serve our growing Lake Nona community and the broader southeast Orlando region,” said Skipper Peek, senior vice president of commercial development.
The tenant announcements are expected this winter, with the groundbreaking scheduled for 2024 and the grand opening in Fall 2025.
In addition to Lake Nona West, the community has recently opened three new class A+ office buildings in the heart of the Lake Nona Town Center. It will soon celebrate the grand opening of one of its new businesses, leading aviation training company SIMCOM, which will welcome 10,000 pilots annually to Lake Nona’s innovative ecosystem.
