Learn About Orlando

The City of Orlando is accepting applications for the 2016 Mayor’s City Academy. This free, 10-week program gives residents a unique look inside their city government through interaction with city employees and teaches about how to become involved and engaged in the city.

The program includes tours of City Hall and community venues, interactive activities with the police and fire departments, insight into economic development and public works as well as information on Families, Parks and Recreation; housing; and transportation initiatives. Residents of the City of Orlando are encouraged to apply online at the City of Orlando website.

The deadline to submit an application is Monday, Jan. 11, 2016. The Mayor’s City Academy program begins on Thursday, March 1, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. and will be held each Thursday evening through May 12, 2016.
