Lighthouse Central Florida recently enriched the lives of nearly a dozen young children with blindness or vision impairment by offering a hands-on sensory experience with farm animals. Hosted at their Kunze Avenue location on June 1, this special event featured Bella’s Little Farm, allowing families in the Early Intervention program to interact closely with chickens, ducks, piglets, and goats, while experiencing their unique sounds and textures.
This initiative not only provided a memorable experience for the children but also fostered social connections among them outside of their usual environments. Lighthouse’s Early Intervention program, which supports families with visually impaired children from newborns to age five, includes a range of in-home services and community activities across Seminole, Orange, and Osceola counties.
