Montverde Academy: Building Knowledge, Character and Community

Your child’s path to excellence starts  with an educational experience like the one that Montverde Academy offers to students from across the globe.

When students are provided a campus experience like the one offered at Montverde Academy, it’s easy to excel. Through a variety of programs, extracurricular activities and a diverse setting, students are inspired to become leaders with a passion for knowledge, global vision and innovation.

Montverde Academy is a coeducational, independent, international college preparatory school for boarding students in grades 7-12, day students in grades Pre-K3-12 and post graduate representing more than 90 nationalities. The school has been accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) since 1927. In addition, it is one of very few schools in the state of Florida to have also earned accreditation from the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS), the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), and the Florida Kindergarten Council (FKC).

Student life is abundant in diversity and culture while promoting individual growth and character development. The school setting nurtures students as they learn and excel in the classroom as well as beyond the classroom, learning valuable lessons of living independently, respecting others, supporting the community, caring for the environment and upholding the Montverde Academy pillars of knowledge, character and community.

Montverde Academy provides opportunities beyond the academic day to encourage a holistic approach to each student’s education. There is a distinctly international feel when you walk around campus, as students will converse in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, French, Russian and more, providing cross-cultural experiences that enrich students’ lives.

The 130-acre campus provides an idyllic environment for students to avidly pursue challenging academics, competitive athletics and artistic expression. There are leadership opportunities in and out of the classroom, community service outreach and extracurricular activities at nearly all grade levels to actively engage every student. Whether a day or boarding student, Montverde Academy’s busy campus provides many opportunities for students to immerse themselves in all that the campus and Central Florida have to offer.
