The City of Orlando has officially launched its year-long 150th anniversary celebration this week, marking a significant milestone in the city’s rich history. The kickoff event, hosted at City Commons Plaza, was led by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and the Orlando City Council, alongside city officials and community representatives.

Mayor Dyer, joined by local leaders, proudly unveiled a commemorative banner, setting the stage for a series of events and activities that will honor Orlando’s Sesquicentennial. As part of the grand celebration, the city will offer free admission to some of its most cherished attractions, including the Mennello Museum of American Art and Leu Gardens.
