With 2016 being an election year, it was destined to be an exciting time. It becomes even more exciting knowing how deep we dive into the season with three spectacular political events. First is our March Political Update Luncheon, which is sponsored by the University of Central Florida. During this event, Dick Batchelor and Tico Perez will discuss their thoughts on this year’s election and how it will affect our community.
From there, we move straight into our annual Capitol Connection trip, and we’ve spiced things up by changing our destination from Tallahassee to Washington D.C.! Participating chamber members, along with Congressman John Mica, will fly to the nation’s capital on April 19 to tour the Capitol, meet with House leaders, and visit the Library of Congress. The trip is an excellent warm up for Central Florida’s premier political event of the year: our East Side Regional Hob Nob, presented by Bright House Networks Business Solutions.
The East Side Regional Hob Nob is a great way to meet and get to know those federal, state, and Orange and Seminole County candidates that you will soon see on your ballot. For more information on our Hob Nob, please visit ESRHobNob.com.
We hope you are able to attend at least one of these great events. Also, don’t forget that we are just days away from the highly anticipated 22nd annual Taste of Oviedo, presented by AirFlow Designs. We’ll see you there!
