The First Academy

The First Academy is a Christ-centered college preparatory school serving over 1,350 Central Florida students from birth through 12th grade. Since its opening in 1987, TFA has continued to grow the academic, fine arts and athletic programs that have elevated its students to the highest levels of achievement and helped them develop the strength of character that leads young men and women to serve their own communities and across the globe.

Each student benefits from a comprehensive, technology-enriched curriculum that includes advanced placement and honors courses, college dual enrollment and exceptional fine arts and media programs. Recently, TFA was recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2017-2019, an achievement reserved for centers of innovation, leadership and educational excellence that use Apple products to inspire creativity, critical thinking and team building.

TFA’s 1-1 iPad program allows each student to engage with faculty and fellow students in a compelling learning environment and provides limitless educational opportunities. The school is one of only 400 schools across 29 states to be awarded this honor.

Parents are impressed with TFA’s low student-teacher ratio, percentage of faculty holding advanced degrees, and that approximately 60 percent of 4th through 7th grade students qualify each year for the prestigious Duke University Talent Identification Program. TFA also has a 100 percent college attendance rate for its graduating seniors. Teachers and faculty members strive to produce powerful and effective leaders who will create lasting partnerships between church, home and school.
