Young Golfers Benefit from Grant

The PGA TOUR Superstore recently awarded a $5,000 grant to The First Tee of Central Florida, a youth development organization that uses golf as a tool to teach young people the positive values of the game including honest, integrity, sportsmanship and confidence.
Orlando PGA Tour Superstore General Manager Kris Osborne presented The First Tee of Central Florida representatives, Executive Director Thomas Lawrence and Treasurer Jon Johnston, along with several youth participants, with a check on June 20. The donation is part of the PGA TOUR Superstore’s commitment to aid in the growth and development of youth in the communities where the store has a presence. The store also provides chapters with equipment donations, tournament sponsorships, training and clinics, and customer fundraising events.
“The PGA TOUR Superstore has already made a tremendous impact for our chapter and area youth in just the short time they’ve been in Central Florida,” says Lawrence says. “We’re honored to be the recipient of a grant that will help us to do so much to further our efforts, and we look forward to a continued great partnership for many years to come.”
