The ABA 11U All-Star team embarked on a remarkable journey, securing the District, Florida State, and Southeast Regional Championships with an outstanding 14-0 record. Their path to victory was nothing short of extraordinary, outscoring their opponents 149-13, including eight shutouts, by the time they reached Florence, AL, for the Cal Ripken World Series.
However, the road to the championship was not without its challenges. After a narrow 4-5 loss to the Florence, AL team on Opening Day of the World Series, the 11U All-Stars demonstrated their resilience by winning every subsequent game. Their journey culminated in an electrifying 8-3 victory over the Florence, AL team in the championship rematch, cementing their status as World Champions.
Recognizing Exceptional Talent: ABA Players Shine
Several ABA players received individual accolades for their outstanding performances throughout the series:
- Fernando Moncada: Named World Series MVP for his exceptional overall performance.
- Levi Merritt and Colten Rollett: Selected for the All-Defensive Team, showcasing their defensive prowess.

The season began with 12 teams competing at the district level, with several teams emerging as champions, including the ABA 11U, 13U, and 14U teams. The ABA 11U team went on to win the state championship and the Southeast Regional tournament, ultimately capturing the World Series title. Additionally, the AFA 10U team participated in the World Series, finishing as runners-up.
The ABA 13U team is also making waves at the 13U World Series in Glen Allen, VA, where they currently hold a 1-1 record in pool play. After a decisive 18-0 win over Williston Moose, ND, and a narrow 11-12 loss to Oahu, HI, the team is set to continue their quest for another championship.
