Spring Fever in the Garden

After a 2-year hiatus due to COVID 19, the Bloom & Grow Garden Society will finally host their 20th anniversary Spring Fever in the Garden festival. Serving as the largest fundraising event of the year, this premier festival will take place on April 2-3, 2022.

The festival is set in “charming, historic downtown Winter Garden, with its brick lined streets, quaint shops, great restaurants, a splash pad for the kids, the city clock tower, lush hanging flower baskets, a vine covered gazebo area with a fountain offers a calming respite from the festival activity.”

The Bloom & Grow Garden Society’s mission statement is “to stimulate a knowledge and love of gardening while promoting and sponsoring the protection and sustainability of native plants and wildlife; to promote and sponsor educational horticultural experiences to students of all ages and encourage civic plantings.”

Since the club’s inception 25 years ago, The Bloom & Grow Garden Society has worked hard to fulfill its mission. This happens through the community service, landscape projects andfinancial support provided. According to their website, the organization has donated over $483,000 to the West Orange Community and beyond. That also includes $173,000 in college scholarships to students at Valencia College and University of Florida majoring in the plant sciences, environmental horticulture, and landscape design.

What to Expect

In 2019 attendance to the festival topped 50,000. The proceeds from the event allowed the organization to give back to the West Orange community.

The Spring in the Garden festival provides another opportunity for the organization to advance the mission. Attendees can look forward to a chalk art contest, Kidzone, vendor booths, a wide array of flowers and foliage for sell, nature related arts and crafts, and live entertainment.

The Kidzone in particular will have booths and activities geared to children with fun ways to learn about nature and the environment. This includes hands on crafts, face painting, balloon animals and more.

Live entertainment will also be available on both days. On April 2nd prepare to be blown away by the following acts:
