Boxi Park, the new innovative outdoor and entertainment park located at Lake Nona Town Center, will be honoring those who served and celebrating the beginning of summer with a weekend of live music, kid activities, and food and drink specials.

Center Lake Park 5K

Free to public, registration required for runners
The Oviedo Memorial 5K and Kids Fun Run returns to Center Lake Park, benefiting the American Legion, Oviedo Memorial Post 243. The 5K will be professionally chip timed, and medals will be awarded to all 5K finishers.

Ember Day Party

Orando VA Medical Center Ceremony

Join Orlando VA Medical Center, Lake Nona Veterans Club and the Central Florida Veterans Memorial Park Foundation at the Memorial Park to honor all who have fallen. The special ceremony remembers the sacrifice and service for our freedom.

Orlando Carnival Downtown

Advanced Admission is $20, VIP tickets and packages starting at $75.
One of Orlando’s largest cultural spectacles will take place once again over Memorial Day Weekend. The free parade runs along Church Street between the Amway and Camping World Stadium. The main event takes place on Tinker Field at Camping World Stadium, where live performances by the biggest Caribbean artists will be held.

Orange County War Memorial Commemoration Ceremony

Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and the Mayor’s Veterans Affairs Advisory Council will honor members of the armed forces enlisted in Orange County who ultimately sacrificed their lives while serving for their country.

The Historical Museum honors, remembers and appreciates all military personnel. The Military Service exhibit will feature uniforms, artifacts and memorabilia from each military branch. Several dioramas will be on display depicting significant battles.

In honor of Memorial Day, veterans and military personnel with military ID will receive free admission and their family members will receive 50% off general admission. This promotion is made possible by Lockheed Martin to salute the brave men and women of our military.
